Golden Gills Weekly CSA (Community Supported Agriculture)
Subscribe today for your weekly delivery of fresh mushrooms to your doorstep!Β
One common thread that ties local farmers to the community they serve, is Community Supported Agriculture shares. For Golden Gills, a CSA subscription is the best way to support the sustainability of our business.
Most CSA's require shares to paid up front. Β We want to make our mushrooms and local food for that matter, more accessible. Β Bearing that in mind, this CSA order is a twice monthly charge, withΒ a biweekly delivery of mushrooms from our farm in Wauconda, IL. Each week weβll put together a sustainably packaged share full of mushrooms with our current varieties, in the size box that you ordered and deliver direct to consumer.
If you fail to cancel or reschedule your delivery and do not arrange for another option, your share will be donated to the Crystal Lake Food Pantry. Β Some varieties youΒ can expect to receive in a rotating selection are:Β
-
Oyster (Assorted Blue, King, Phoenix, Black Pearl King are some typical options)

-

Golden Gills mushrooms are handcrafted in small batches and picked fresh for local distribution. We take pride in producing quality gourmet mushrooms using agricultural and forestry byproducts as our primary growing mediums.Β Our natural methods of production accelerate decomposition, building soil and cycling nutrients β critical processes for healthy ecosystems. We donate our exhausted substrates as soil amendments to our friends in farming that we work in cooperation with.
Buying Golden Gills mushrooms keeps your dollar local and supports woman-owned local farming and sustainability.Β
